and Organize

I keep saving time and money as a result of our session last week. How great it is to know EXACTLY where to find everything quickly and not have to run to the store to replace stuff I already have. Thanks again.

I HIGHLY recommend Barb's services. She keeps you on task without being Nurse Ratchett. I found it very helpful to talk thru what to keep, or not, and why...to explain how I use things and get her input as to what should be placed where. She helped me develop a Task / Project list and prioritized it with start and/ or due dates. She made a copy of it and I gave her permission to follow up with me and see how I was progressing. She spent a total of about 3-1/2 hours over two days getting my desk/office organized. After the first 2 hour session, I told her that I thought I could finish on my own. I tried, but quickly found that I shut down and got overwhelmed when I was left to myself. I KNOW how to do this, but having someone there to keep me on task and talk it thru made ALL the difference. Without Barb, I know that I would NOT have completed the process nor would I have done it so thoroughly or quickly. She "made" me go thru EVERYTHING..all files, etc....which I resisted at first, thinking I could do that later...but the reality is that I wouldn't and so my way would have been incomplete and that would have defeated the purpose.

I was surprised at how quickly Barbara transformed my garage. It took only 3 hours, and I didn't have to buy anything new for storage. I found many duplicate and triplicate items that I had purchased over time when I didn't know I already had them and/or couldn't find them when I needed them, so I realize that this process will actually save me money in the future. Barbara insisted on my putting all items for a particular purpose (e.g., gardening) together, so now when I need something, I won't have to look in every cabinet and drawer to find it. I tried to avoid doing some areas, but she coached me to finish the job properly, and I am so glad I did. I really dreaded the process, but it wasn't painful at all, and the result was thrilling. Thanks so much for coming over today and for your help. For the first time in a long time, I see hope and feel hopeful. Once I get the clutter under control, then it is time to redecorate!!! I am pleased with what we got done. I do have to say that tossing would have been harder had you not been here. I am having difficulty throwing away the cards and letters from my deceased relatives. I just found a letter from my Mother which will be saved. You are nice to be with and working with you is also pleasant. I feel like I know you more than I do.
